What information and privileges are granted to an authorized user?

An authorized user is granted usage privileges to the Visa Credit Card. This allows use of the line of credit only. The authorized user has the right to review/inquire about their own transaction information only if they have a unique card number different from the primary owner's card.

Will Delta Community check the credit of an authorized user?

A credit report is not acquired for the authorized user. Although the authorized user is not responsible for the debt, the credit status is reported to the three major credit bureaus.

Is coverage under payment protection extended to the authorized user?

Authorized users do not qualify for coverage. Only the primary and the joint owners are covered under payment protection.

How do I add an authorized user to my Visa Credit Card?

To add an authorized user the Visa Credit Card Authorization Form must be completed. Once received by the Credit Union, a Visa Credit Card will be ordered for the authorized user in their name. The authorized user should receive the specific account card within 7 to 10 business days.

How do I remove an authorized user from my Visa Credit Card?

If you are the primary member, complete the Credit Card Authorized User Removal Form and fax to 470-351-6628 attn:  or mail to Delta Community, Attn: Loan Servicing, PO Box 20541, Atlanta, GA 30320-2541. You can also submit your request within Online Banking from Contact Us under Additional Services.

If you are the authorized user and would like to remove yourself, you will need to send in a signed, notarized, written request to the address above.
