How can I have a wire transfer traced?

For wire transfers within the United States, you will need to contact the sending financial institution and verify that the correct wire instructions were used. Once verified have the sending financial institution research and trace the wire.

If the wire was originated by Delta Community CU, then you can contact us at 404-715-4725.

For international wire transfers, it can take up to two weeks from the originator to beneficiary to process. If it has been four days, you will need to contact the sending financial institution to obtain the US correspondent bank information and confirm that they have the following information correct:

  • Beneficiary Bank: Bank of New York Mellon
  • Beneficiary Account Name: Delta Community Credit Union
  • Beneficiary Account Number: 8900684046
  • For Further Credit To: Your Name and account number for savings or checking deposit as it appears on your Delta Community account

If this information is correct, the sending institution should continue to research until the wire has been located.

If an outgoing wire rejects, and the correct information to send the wire transfer isn't received by 4:00 p.m. EST (3:00 p.m. EST for international wire transfers), what happens to the funds?

If the outgoing wire was originated by Delta Community Credit Union, the funds will be re-deposited back into your account, however the wire fee is non-refundable. You will need to call back when the correct wiring instructions have been obtained to have the wire submitted again. A second wire fee will apply.
