ATLANTA, February 26, 2015 – Delta Community Credit Union (www.DeltaCommunityCU.com) continued its community involvement efforts in 2014 by investing $625,000 to foster growth and prosperity in the communities it serves. Delta Community provided financial support to 15 non-profit organizations through its Philanthropic Fund grant program, and also to metro Atlanta chambers of commerce, high schools, community initiatives and to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
“In addition to this significant financial investment, Delta Community employees also donate countless volunteer hours to support organizations that are in alignment with our mission to support physical and financial health,” said Jai Rogers, Delta Community’s vice president of business and community development. “This year, we are increasing our level of engagement with organizations that improve lives in the communities we serve.”
In 2015, Delta Community’s Philanthropic Fund will support 30 organizations whose purpose is to help families manage their household finances and improve the well-being of young people, including educational programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M.), fiscal management and youth development.
