    Delta Community Promotes Michael Massey to Vice President, Lending Services

    Newly Created Position Encompasses Consumer Credit Process, Forecasting & Analytics

    ATLANTA, April 26, 2016 – Delta Community Credit Union (www.DeltaCommunityCU.com), Georgia’s largest credit union with more than $5 billion in assets and more than 336,000 members, has promoted Michael Massey to vice president of Lending Services. In this newly created role, Massey will have strategic responsibility for the consumer credit process, and will maintain his previous forecasting responsibilities within the lending area. He will continue reporting to Chief Lending Officer Bob Walsh.

    “I am excited to welcome Michael to this new position, which will leverage his diverse experience in banking and accounting, as well as his expertise in analytics and strategic planning,” said Walsh. “His contributions to the growth of our lending operations have been significant. In this expanded role, Michael will further strengthen Delta Community’s ability to provide members with loan products and services that are competitive, convenient and tailored to their unique needs.”

    Massey joined Delta Community in 2012 as an analyst in Strategic Planning & Performance and most recently served as assistant vice president of Loan Performance & Analytics. He has many years of experience in commercial banking, auditing and public accounting, holding positions of increasing responsibility with BB&T, Fifth Third Bank and Red Hat.

    A Certified Public Accountant, Massey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
