    Delta Community Welcomes Aisha Khawaja as Vice President of Card and Payment Services

    Industry Professional Brings Technical Expertise, Risk Management Experience to Credit Union

    ATLANTA (Feb. 22, 2016) – Delta Community Credit Union (www.DeltaCommunityCU.com), Georgia’s largest credit union with $4.9 billion in assets and more than 330,000 members, has named Aisha Khawaja as vice president of Card and Payment Services. In this newly-created position, Khawaja will have direct oversight of Card Services, Payment Services, and Card and Payment Risk Management. She will report to Pam Davis, senior vice president of Branch Delivery and Operations.

    “Aisha is a valuable addition to our established team of professionals,” said Davis. “Her technical expertise, combined with broad experience, will further strengthen Delta Community’s ability to respond to our members’ needs for card products that are convenient, dependable and, most importantly, secure.”

    In addition to card services and risk management, Khawaja’s experience includes regulatory compliance and call center management. At GTE Financial, in Tampa, FL, she served as vice president of Enterprise Risk, vice president of Member Payment Systems and, most recently, as vice president, Fraud & Bank Secrecy Act. She previously filled a number of management roles at Alliant Credit Union in Chicago. “I am excited to join a credit union that shares my passion for advancing the technologies, services and practices that provide members with payment choices that best fit their needs,” said Khawaja. “That includes responsive service, as well as card and payment options that are safe, fast and convenient.”

    Khawaja holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from Saint Leo University in San Antonio, Florida.
