Celebrating Youth Month
This April, we’re celebrating Youth Month at Delta Community. One of the most valuable lessons that we can teach our children is how to save and spend wisely.
To celebrate Youth Month, open a Youth Savings Account for the child in your life because it’s never too early (or too late) to start saving. Help your teen prepare for the future by providing the financial tools they need to succeed. Delta Community Checking Accounts and Debit Cards are available to members between the ages of 16 and 17 years old with an adult Joint Owner.
For financial tips, savings activities and more information about Youth Month, visit our website.

HR Charitable Giving
Delta Community’s 2017 Philanthropic Fund grants continued in March with awards totaling $12,000 to the organizations listed below:
  • Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia received $5,000 to fund its Family Service and Education Program. This program focuses on teaching new homeowners how to manage their finances and run a household.
  • Mary Hall Freedom House accepted an award of $7,000 to support the organization’s efforts to help young children cope with psychological and psychiatric challenges and to provide them educational enrichment and developmental and behavioral therapy.
The Delta Community Philanthropic Fund will invest a total of $100,000 throughout 2017 to 22 metro Atlanta non-profit organizations which support the physical and financial needs of people who live within the communities we serve.
Peachtree City-Wisdom Road Branch Celebrates 10th Anniversary
We recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of our Peachtree City-Wisdom Road Branch, marking the occasion with employees, Fayette County business partners and elected officials. During the ceremony commemorating this milestone, CEO Hank Halter also thanked members for their support.
“With more than 55,000 of our members living in Fayette County and nearby Coweta County, this branch has become one of Delta Community’s busiest locations,” Hank said. “We appreciate all of the support from our members as well as our branch team’s pride and commitment in serving the local community."
Fayette County was among the first two counties from which we welcomed community members. Several employees have been serving members for the entire history of our Peachtree City-Wisdom Road Branch.  We’re proud to support the area with financial and volunteer investments in many organizations, schools and charities.
Food For Thought
Once a quarter, Delta Community Chief Operating Officer Matthew Shepherd (far right) invites members to join him for dinner and discussion at restaurants near our branches. The goal of these Food for Thought dinners is to directly connect with members and discuss their suggestions and feedback.
In March, Matthew visited the Stockbridge area. The eight members that joined him were excited and eager to ask questions, share concerns and offer praise. In turn, Matthew passed along their feedback to senior leadership across the Credit Union in an effort to be responsive to the financial needs of our members and to continue delivering sincere, personalized care and honest advice.
Follow us on Facebook for your chance to join the next Food for Thought dinner.
