Delta Community Wins Visa Global Service Quality Award

Easily Set Up Your IVR PIN in Online or Mobile Banking
In addition to accessing your accounts via Online or Mobile Banking, you can also take advantage of our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) telephone technology. Whether you need to check your balance, report a lost or stolen card or transfer funds, you can do it all by calling our IVR line.
 
To make your dial-in experience even easier and quicker, we encourage our members to create a 4-digit Telephone Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the IVR service. It’s easy to set up your Telephone PIN using Online Banking or our Mobile App:
  • Online Banking: Log in to your Online Banking account > select Update Telephone PIN under the Account Management tab
  • iOS Mobile App: Sign in to Mobile App > click More > click Update Telephone PIN
  • Android Mobile App: Sign in to Mobile App > click the Menu button at the top left > click Update Telephone PIN
Please keep in mind, your IVR PIN is completely different from the PIN you might use with your debit card or at the ATM. Once you create your Telephone PIN, you’ll enter it each time you call the IVR. In addition to the added security, an IVR PIN allows our Member Care team to assist you even faster if you are unable to self-service your accounts within the IVR and need to speak with an agent.
Reminder: Activate Your Bonus Reward Points

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to activate this quarter’s categories in Delta Community’s Bonus Reward Points Program so you can earn:
  • 3x Reward Points for eligible purchases at Gas Stations and Book Stores.
  • 2x Reward Points for eligible purchases at Movie Theaters and Restaurants.
  • 1x Reward Points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases in categories outside the bonus categories.
To activate, simply log in to Online Bankingselect Reward Points under the Additional Services tab, click View/Redeem Points and then the Login button. This will bring you to the Reward Points home page. Select the banner that says Earn More Points and then activate this quarter’s bonus categories.
 
When you’re ready to redeem your points for rewards, you can choose from a wide variety of Gift Cards, Merchandise, Travel with no blackout dates and Cash Back.
Our High School Apprentices Are Ready to Serve Members
Delta Community Refer A Friend
Our High School Apprentices are ready to start working at their designated branches and are excited to serve our members. This program, which is in its 12th year, helps young people transition into the workforce. Since the Apprentice Program was launched, it has grown steadily, reaching a record 24 new participants this year.
 
The program provides valuable job training, competitive pay and future career opportunities for the students. In fact, many program participants continue working for the Credit Union after they graduate from high school. 
 
Apprentices are identified through select metro Atlanta schools' Work-Based Learning Programs and must complete the same training as adult Credit Union employees. 
ATM Cash Withdrawal Flow Updated
Have you ever accidentally left your card in an ATM? In order to reduce the likelihood of that happening to you again, we are updating our ATM cash withdrawal transaction flow. 
 
The new ATM cash withdrawal transaction flow is referred to as “card before cash.” First, your card will be ejected from the machine. Once the card has been removed from the card reader, the ATM will then dispense your cash. 
Another Successful Year of Cool Cash Camps
Nearly 250 children and their parents attended the fourth annual series of our Cool Cash Money Camps, held at our Vinings and Peachtree City locations. These camps are designed to help children between the ages of 8 and 11 learn more about money basics, including the value of earning and saving money, the importance of spending it wisely and how charitable giving strengthens communities by helping those in need.
 
Upon completing the class, the children were awarded certificates and encouraged to always make good financial decisions. If you’re interested in our 2018 Cool Cash Money Camps, registration information will be available on our website beginning next summer.
Philanthropic Fund Grants Awarded in July
HR Charitable Giving
Delta Community’s 2017 Philanthropic Fund grants continued in July with awards totaling $5,000 to the organizations listed below:
  • The Global Village Project received a grant for $3,000 to support its Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) program. STEAM integrates engineering, math and chemistry with studies of the arts for young teenage girls who migrated from 12 different countries including Ethiopia, Somalia, Bhutan, Nepal and Syria. “For these girls, who have experienced loss and displacement, interrupted education, and do not have the language skills to grasp STEAM concepts, arts integration provides a valuable medium for expression and empowerment in an often disconnected and disconcerting new world,” said GVP’s Amy Pelissero. 
  • The Community School was awarded a $2,000 grant to help fund the school’s Outdoor Program which provides education and independence for adolescents and young adults with autism. “Engaging participants in physically and socially challenging outdoor activities helps them stay better regulated,” said The Community School’s Jasmine Camp. “It also develops social, emotional, communication, problem-solving and team-building skills – in addition to increasing their level of physical activity.”
The Delta Community Philanthropic Fund will invest a total of $100,000 throughout 2017 to 22 metro Atlanta non-profit organizations which support the physical and financial needs of people who live within the communities we serve.
Delta Air Lines (General Office) Atlanta Branch Reopens

Our Delta Air Lines Atlanta Branch, which closed for renovations in December, has reopened. The branch is located on the lower level and will feature an ATM. We are excited to continue service to our Delta Air Lines members and appreciate your patience though this renovation.
