HBCU Scholarship Check Presentation
(L-R) Delta Community COO Matthew Shepherd, Reecia Landers (Abrahana's mother), Abrahana James and KISS 104's Veronica Waters
Delta Community and Atlanta radio station KISS 104 presented 2015's fourth and final Historically Black College or University (HBCU) scholarship at the Vinings branch on Dec. 22.

In a check presentation, 21-year old Abrahana James was awarded a check for $1,875. Currently a junior at Fort Valley State University, Abrahana maintains a 3.9 GPA as a business management major.
Abrahana, from Southwest Atlanta, is also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, captain of the softball team and involved in many student and campus activities.

The HBCU Scholarship program, initiated as part of our 75th anniversary celebration and awarded in partnership with KISS 104, awarded a total of $7,500 in 2015 to four students who are either attending or plan to attend an HBCU in Georgia. The program continues this year, so check our website and social media properties for updates.

Congratulations to 2015's HBCU Scholarship program winners!

Delta Community's Chris Wichary welcomes members to our Decatur branch

More than 49,000 consumers participated in the survey with credit unions receiving particularly high ratings on average for service and fees. These results compare favorably to other industry surveys where credit unions consistently outperform banks for customer satisfaction.
