HBCU Scholarship Presented to Savannah State Student
In December, Delta Community and Atlanta radio station KISS 104 awarded the final $2,000 HBCU scholarship of 2017 to Antonio McMillan Jr. of Fairburn, Georgia.

He is an Honor/Dean’s List student and a member of Golden Key International Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership Success.

Delta Community Refer A Friend
Delta Community CEO Hank Halter presented Jaye with a retirement plaque honoring her years of service. "When Jaye first started working here, she was one of two fulltime tellers, and we had 33 employees and four branches," Hank said. "Since then, Jaye has played a significant role in our growth and success, including assisting with the opening of 21 branches, and seven in one year, as VP of Branch Operations. She will be missed and we wish her all the best.”
Jaye is the perfect example of how Delta Community strives to develop employees and help them grow professionally. We appreciate Jaye’s 34 years of service and wish her a very happy retirement.

Sandy Springs Branch Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Delta Community recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of our Sandy Springs Branch. In a ceremony celebrating this milestone, CEO Hank Halter presented Branch Manager Raj Subramanian with an award to commemorate the occasion.
“I’m proud of the strong relationship we’ve built with Sandy Springs residents and for the opportunity to serve this community,” said Raj.
Our Sandy Springs Branch was the first store-front location Delta Community opened after expanding our field of membership in 2005. Thank you to our members and branch staff that have made this branch so great.
December Charitable Giving
Charitable giving and employee volunteering is a very important aspect of Delta Community’s culture. We are committed to making a difference in the communities we serve, especially around the holiday season. Here are a few of the ways Delta Community employees have given back:
  • Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Patient Party – Employee volunteers provided holiday cheer to young patients by decorating gingerbread cookies, creating holiday artwork and decorating ceramic ornaments.
  • Bloom Closet Donation – Members of our Recovery Services team graciously donated 26 pairs of pajamas to the Bloom Closet, a non-profit organization that provides free clothing, toys and other items to more than 1,200 foster children across 60 Georgia counties. Members of our HR and Corporate Training departments sponsored a family through the Bloom Closet and purchased toys and clothing from the family’s wish list.
  • Adopt-A-Family – Our Peachtree City Braelinn Branch staff purchased gifts for a local family to ensure they have a joyful holiday season.
  • Merry Little Christmas Program – Our Accounting department donated to B98.5’s Merry Little Christmas program, which collects gifts for local families in need.
  • Denim in December for Children’s Miracle Network – During the month of December, employees were able to make a small monetary donation to Children’s Miracle Network and in exchange they were able to wear jeans all month long.
If you’re looking for a way to give back, stop by any of our branches and purchase candy bars, water bottles, piggy banks and more. Purchases benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which includes Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, with pediatric care, education, research and equipment.
