Chip Card Conversion Begins in June
We are enhancing our Visa Credit and Debit Cards with smart chip technology. Current Credit cardholders will begin receiving their new chip credit cards later this month and current Debit cardholders will receive their new chip debit cards beginning in July. We expect all new Credit and Debit chip cards to be delivered to members by the end of October.
When used at chip-enabled terminals, the smart chip technology creates a unique, one-time code for each transaction, making it virtually impossible to replicate in a counterfeit card.

In addition to containing embedded chips, our new chip cards will be unembossed, which means names, account numbers and expiration dates printed on the cards will not be raised as they are today, making them last longer and easier to read.

Trauma Room Named After Delta Community
(L-R) CEO Hank Halter, Scottish Rite's Linda Cole, VP Jai Rogers and COO Matthew Shepherd
Trauma Room T-3 in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite's trauma center was dedicated to Delta Community recently. A naming ceremony honored the Credit Union's support and more than $2 million in contributions over the past 17 years.

"We have been a proud supporter of Children's Miracle Network and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta since 1998, so having a trauma room named after us is an honor," CEO Hank Halter said.
Delta Community is the only credit union in Georgia to donate more than $2 million to the hospital, with contributions being achieved through dozens of employee fundraising activities, in addition to countless employee hours being volunteered at the various Children's Healthcare of Atlanta clinics and facilities.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta cares for more than half a million patients annually and operates three hospitals in metro Atlanta that specialize in caring just for children and teens.

  • Atlanta Community Food Bank, an organization committed to fighting hunger by engaging, educating and empowering communities, received a $7,500 grant. These funds will support their "Kids in Need" program, which provides free school supplies for children ages 6-10 in 17 school districts across Georgia.
