Clark Atlanta University Student Awarded HBCU Scholarship
Delta Community and Atlanta radio station KISS 104’s scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) presented a check for $2,000 to Eric Wilson.
Eric, a sophomore at Clark Atlanta University, is studying Mass Media Arts. He served as the Freshman Class President and dedicates his time to the younger generation after losing his brother to gun violence in Chicago. In an interview published earlier this year, Eric describes his unique challenges which he says inspired him to work even harder and to help others when he can.
Throughout 2017, Delta Community will award a total of $8,000 in scholarships to students attending HBCUs in the state of Georgia through the HBCU Scholarship Program.
Vinings Branch Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Delta Community recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Vinings Branch. In a ceremony commemorating this milestone, CEO Hank Halter thanked the Vinings Branch staff for their dedication.
“We’re proud of the hard work and excellent service provided by our front-line professionals, and we appreciate everyone who has contributed to the success of this busy location during the past decade,” said Hank.
Our Vinings Branch was only the fifth freestanding branch Delta Community built, and our first in Cobb County. We’re thankful to our members that have made this branch so great.
Transition from FinanceWorks to Money Management
We’re excited to announce that in the coming weeks we’ll be transitioning our current Personal Financial Management (PFM) tool, FinanceWorks, to a new and more advanced tool named Money Management. Money Management will be available to all Online Banking users and will provide an even greater organization and account aggregation experience with more chart options, customization features and better auto-categorization. It will also be available in the Delta Community Mobile Banking App.
We anticipate that this switch over to the new PFM will not cause any disruptions to your Online Banking experience. We simply want you to be aware before the transition takes place. We will send members more detailed information about this transition in the weeks to come.
