What is the Purchase Rewards program?

Our Purchase Rewards program lets you earn cash bonus rewards by using your Delta Community Credit Union Debit Card to purchase merchandise and services. The program is available to all Delta Community Debit Cardholders (“Cardholders”).

It’s important to know that the Purchase Rewards program is totally separate from our long-running Reward Points that works with both the Delta Community Visa® Credit Cards and our Debit Card. Purchase Rewards works only with the Delta Community Debit Card. Therefore, we now offer two great ways to earn rewards using your Delta Community Debit Card.

With Purchase Rewards, you’ll receive targeted offers to receive cash bonus rewards on purchases based on where you shop. The offers are presented in the form of digital coupons in your Delta Community Online Banking account. The offers must be accepted in your Online Banking account and redeemed using your Delta Community Debit Card within a specified period of time in order to qualify to receive the cash bonus rewards.

As a Cardholder, there is no limit to the rewards you can earn. The more you use your Delta Community Debit Card, the more offers you can receive and the more rewards you can earn. The cash bonuses are paid in cycles the month after the Purchase Rewards have been accepted (in your Online Banking account) and redeemed (using your Delta Community Debit Card).

Where do I go to see offers?

You can find offers on the main page of your account in Online Banking. Once you log in to Online Banking, simply look for the Purchase Rewards window located on the My Accounts page.

  • Purchase Rewards are labeled as New, Recent or Expired Offers. To activate an offer, simply accept them by clicking on the “New Offers” tab. Once accepted, the reward offer is made active on your account and redeemed only when you make a purchase at the merchant providing the offer. All offers can be viewed by visiting the Purchase Rewards summary page in your Online Banking account.

How do I redeem offers?

Offers are provided from both local and national retailers. Most often, the merchant offers provided to you are relevant to retailers that you currently shop. For example, you may receive an offer from Office Max or Staples retailers if you often shop for office supplies.

  • To redeem the offer, simply click on it to see the details. This automatically accepts and makes the offer active on your account.
  • Then shop at the specified retailer using your debit card to earn the reward.
  • Each offer has different details regarding when and where to shop and the spend amount to meet the cash bonus qualification.
  • Offers that require an online purchase are clearly specified and may include a redemption code.
  • Please be sure to read the details to determine how to redeem each offer and start earning rewards.

Do I need to use a coupon or code to earn rewards?

Typically, you do not need a coupon or code to redeem an offer.

How long do I have to take advantage of an offer?

Each offer has an offer period set by the merchant. You must redeem offers before the expiration date. The expiration date can be found in the offer details section.

When do I receive the rewards for the offers I redeem?

Your rewards will typically be deposited to your account the month after you redeem the offer. Since we do not share your personal information with retailers, we cannot credit your account immediately at the time of purchase. For example, any rewards you redeem in the month of September typically will be credited to your account at the end of October. If you would like to see the offers you have redeemed or the total value of the offers you have redeemed, click on the Rewards Earned tab located within the Purchase Rewards summary page.

If I have more than one account, will I see the same offers on both accounts?

  • Offers are matched on an account level, based on the purchases made with your Delta Community Debit Card for that account. If you make different purchases with different accounts, you will see different offers in those accounts. Look for offers related to other accounts under the More link.
  • You must use the Delta Community Credit Union Debit Card connected to your account to redeem the offers related to the account where the reward will be applied.

Can I use any of my financial institution’s cards to earn rewards?

No. You have to use your Delta Community Debit Card that is associated with the account to earn the Purchase Rewards.

I don’t see any offers in my Online Banking account. Why is that?

  • When you first open your account, or if you are a newly registered Online Banking member, you may not see Purchase Rewards offer for the first 30 days. Also, if you seldom use your Delta Community Debit Card, you may not receive offers until you begin using it more frequently.
  • The more you use your Delta Community Debit Card, the more opportunity you’ll have to receive relevant Purchase Rewards offers.
  • You may not be receiving any offers because you inadvertently opted out of the program. To Opt In, click on the Get Started link.

What if I do not want to receive offers?

You can opt out by clicking on the Purchase Rewards Preferences link within the Purchase Rewards window located on the Checking history page. Here, you can either choose to be removed from the program, remain in the program or choose to remove offers listed in your transaction list.

  • If you opt out of the Purchase Rewards program at this time, but change your mind later, click on the Get Started link located within the Purchase Rewards window under the Checking Account history page.

Is my personal information shared with retailers?

No. Your personal information is not shared with retailers. In fact, no personal information leaves the Credit Union.

Who administers this program?

This program is administered through a third party. All personally identifiable information is secure and is not shared with the third party. Our third party partner will make best efforts to collect all of the rewards due to you and assumes all liability for the collections. Delta Community is not liable for rewards, but we will work with the partner to ensure a great customer experience.

Is this program free?

Yes, this program is offered as a free benefit service to Delta Community members. There is no cost to participate in our Purchase Rewards program. This new rewards program is just another benefit of using your Delta Community Debit Card.
