You should never have to worry about security when you’re shopping. That’s why Delta Community offers all of our Delta Community CU Visa Check and Credit cardholders a service called Verified by Visa®. This service enables online merchants to confirm a cardholder's identity before an online transaction is approved. This added step prevents unauthorized users from using your card online to perform fraudulent transactions. We want your transactions to be safe, so we recommend enrolling your Delta Community CU cards in Verified by Visa today.
Prepare to enroll.
Before you register your card(s), you, the cardholder, must choose a personal password that becomes your "signature" for Internet purchases. Each time you make a purchase at a Verified by Visa merchant, you’ll be prompted to enter this personal password or PIN along with a Personal Assurance Message that was established prior to the checkout process to ensure identity. The Personal Assurance Message will appear each time your Verified by Visa password is requested. This will let you know that your password is being requested by Visa and not an outside source.
For merchants that do not participate in Verified by Visa, transactions will process as normal. Activation During Shopping enables a merchant to prevent the completion of a transaction and prompt cardholders to enroll in Verified by Visa before their transaction is completed. If the cardholder chooses not to enroll in Verified by Visa, the order will not be processed.
