Gainesville-Hall County Alliance for Literacy works to increase literacy rates in Hall County by promoting education for adults through reading, English as a Second Language, and General Education Development (GED) preparation. Their $2,500 grant will allow them to continue offering free classes and to purchase additional curriculum.

Hall-Dawson CASA Program, Inc. received a $10,000 grant to go towards their mission of ensuring abused and neglected children have the right to a safe and permanent home. The funds will support the program's focus to recruit, screen, train and empower community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused or neglected children in foster care.

Throughout this year, Delta Community Philanthropic Fund has invested a total of $125,000 in 20 metro Atlanta non-profit organizations that support the physical and financial needs of people who live within the communities we serve.

  • Don’t Get Scammed on Social Media: Social media has become an important—or even essential—part of many people’s lives, as they use it to reconnect and maintain contact with friends, explore relationships, learn for fun or professional development, offer opinions, display skills and knowledge, manage hobbies, play games, collaborate on projects, buy and sell goods and engage in many other activities offered by these diverse platforms. But social networks can also provide a convenient, easily accessible and large group of targets for scammers. Learn more about how to protect yourself on social media.
  • Ways to Improve Personal Credit: There are many benefits of improving your credit score, including having a better chance of qualifying for the best interest and payment terms on loans or credit cards. If you’re struggling with a low credit score, you’re better positioned to quickly make gains than someone with a strong credit history. There is much more upside to having a higher score, and even small changes in behavior can result in greater score increases.
