Delta Community receives Jack Henry Cobalt Award

Cobb Business Journal

Cobb-based Delta Community Credit Union has received the Jack Henry Cobalt Award in the “Barrier Breaker” category, which recognizes financial institutions that have used Jack Henry’s software and services to help families overcome challenges to their financial health.

As part of the award, Jack Henry will donate $10,000 to a nonprofit of the recipient’s choice. Delta Community selected PAWKids, an organization that offers health/human services and educational resources to metro Atlanta families.

The award specifically highlights Delta Community’s Financial Education Center for creating a credit and borrowing education series, which significantly increased participants’ financial confidence. The learning program is part of the credit union’s annual offering of free, professionally facilitated workshops on essential skills, including budgeting, investing and fraud prevention. Financial Education Center professionals frequently leverage Jack Henry technology to help tailor class offerings and deliver more personalized guidance to Delta Community members who participate in the workshops.

Since launching in 2016, Delta Community’s Financial Education Center has provided support to over 60,000 people through over 1,800 free workshops; 15,000 personalized coaching sessions; and hundreds of videos and digital resources.
