Growing with Cherokee County: A New Home for Our Canton Branch
We are pleased to announce plans to relocate and expand our Canton Branch to better serve members in Cherokee County. The branch, currently located inside the Kroger on Hickory Flat Highway, will move in early 2027 to a larger retail space in the new Hickory Flat Marketplace at 6475 Hickory Flat Highway.
The new 4,200-square-foot branch will provide significantly more space, convenient parking, a dedicated team of employees and two ATMs with Live Teller functionality for added convenience.
“We opened our Canton branch in 2008 as part of our commitment to serve and support Cherokee County residents,” said Hank Halter, CEO of Delta Community. “This move allows us to enhance the member experience while continuing to grow alongside the community.”
The current branch will remain open until the new location is ready, ensuring a seamless transition for members.

Philanthropic Fund Grants Awarded in March

The Delta Community Credit Union Philanthropic Fund awards $150,000 annually to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that help families strengthen their financial well-being and support the health and success of young people. In March we proudly awarded an additional $35,000 through our 2026 Philanthropic Fund to four nonprofits making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
Time2Give, Inc. received $10,000 for The Innovation Lab Atlanta (iLab) program. This initiative provides youth with hands-on experiences in augmented reality, robotics and digital storytelling, helping them build confidence and explore future opportunities in high-demand STEM fields.
Motherless Daughters Foundation, Inc. received $10,000 for its Flight Path to the Future program. Through aviation, aerospace workshops and a culminating trip to the Kennedy Space Center, the program introduces girls and underrepresented students to STEM careers while building skills and confidence.
STEM Gems received $10,000 for its STEM Gems Club program. Through teacher-led clubs, immersive camps and an annual summit, the program exposes girls to a wide range of STEM careers while fostering confidence, curiosity and pathways to high-growth industries.
Center for Black Women’s Wellness received $5,000 for its Women’s Economic Self-Sufficiency program. This multi-session training helps women build entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, supporting greater economic stability for themselves and their families.
We are proud to support these organizations and the meaningful work they do each day. Together, we’re helping build stronger, healthier communities for all.
