Delta Community Partners with WSB-TV for Annual Coat Drive

This holiday season, Delta Community Credit Union is proud to partner with WSB for a coat drive to help keep our community warm. Together, we're collecting new and gently used coats to distribute to those in need during the chilly winter months. We invite our members to join us in this effort by donating coats at participating Delta Community branches. You can drop off your donations at select branches from December 15 through January 9. Check our Facebook page for updates on which branches will be participating in the coat drive.
Each donated coat will bring comfort to someone in need and reflect the caring spirit of our Delta Community members. Let's work together to spread warmth and kindness throughout the season.
Finish Strong: Smart Year-End Financial Moves

As 2025 winds down, take a few simple steps to strengthen your financial foundation and start 2026 with confidence.
Max Out Tax-Advantaged Accounts:6 Boost your savings and reduce taxes by contributing up to the limit in your IRA, 401(k), or Health Savings Account (HSA). If eligible, consider making a catch-up contribution before year-end.
Meet Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs): If you’re age 73 or older, be sure you’ve taken RMDs from all tax-deferred retirement accounts to avoid IRS penalties. Don’t need the funds? Ask your qualified tax professional or financial advisor about a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)—a direct gift from your IRA to charity that may lower your taxable income.
Consider a Roth Conversion:7 If you expect higher income or tax rates ahead, talk with your tax professional about Roth IRA Conversion before December 31. This can provide future flexibility but does generate taxable income in the year of conversion.
Plan for Tax Efficiency: Work with your qualified tax professional to review your withholdings, deductions and credits to prepare for a smoother tax season ahead.
Use Year-End Gifting Opportunities: Generosity can be strategic too. You can give up to $19,000 per recipient in 2025 without gift tax, or make direct payments for education or medical expenses that don’t count toward that limit.
Take these steps now to make the most of your savings before the year ends. Finish the year strong with expert guidance from Delta Community Retirement and Investment Services CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals. Contact us today to create a plan that fits your goals for 2026 and beyond.
Securities and advisory services are offered through LPL Financial (LPL), a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer (member FINRA/SIPC).8
