Expanding Access to Better Serve Our Members

By Pam Davis, Senior Vice President, Branch Delivery and Operations

Delta Community SVP Pam Davis

At Delta Community, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional support and value on the essential banking services everyone needs to effectively manage household expenses and save for the future. Part of this effort includes offering exceptional convenience and access to personalized care and advice when needed. We continue to invest in our branch network by expanding our coverage in local communities.

In May, we marked an important milestone with the opening of our Locust Grove Branch—our 30th location in metro Atlanta and fourth in Henry County. This new, full-service branch strengthens our presence in the region and puts us in closer proximity to nearly 8,000 members in the surrounding community.

Looking ahead, we are preparing to open a new branch this fall in Conyers. Located in the Salem Gate Market Shopping Center, this branch will be our 31st in metro Atlanta and first in Rockdale County. It is designed to support nearly 9,000 existing members who live or work nearby, while also welcoming new members from neighboring communities.

In addition to our physical expansion, I am pleased to share that Delta Community has received regulatory approval that now enables us to serve anyone living or working in four additional metro Atlanta counties: Barrow, Jackson, Newton and Walton. These counties are adjacent to the 16 counties that comprised our previous geographic footprint and are home to growing, dynamic communities that we will consider for branch locations in the near future. We selected these counties based on our more than 12,000 members who live there today as well as long-term population growth projections.

We manage Delta Community’s ongoing operational development and financial performance with thoughtful planning and focus on the collective best interests and evolving needs of our members. Our goal is always to foster lasting relationships and earn our members’ confidence as a trusted financial partner through every stage of life.

Thank you for your continued trust in Delta Community. We are honored to serve you.

$15,000 Awarded to Three HBCU Students

Delta Community HBCU Scholarship Recipients

In June, Delta Community and Atlanta radio station V-103 presented our first HBCU Scholarships of 2025, awarding $5,000 each to Annamaya Kanu, Janii Corneh and Mekhi Grissom. We were honored to meet them at a special on-site ceremony at Delta Community’s headquarters, where we presented their checks in person.

Annamaya Kanu is an accomplished student leader with a 4.2 GPA and a passion for service. She made history as the first African American female Governor of Georgia’s Key Club International and leads in multiple roles at Lovejoy High School. Her 200+ hours of community service reflect her deep commitment to advocacy and education. Annamaya will continue her journey at Tuskegee University, where she plans to major in marketing.

Mekhi Grissom overcame early academic hurdles to graduate with honors and complete over 500 hours of service. A community advocate and student ambassador, he raised funds and led major volunteer efforts. His experiences have shaped a clear goal of becoming a corporate attorney and giving back through policy and service. Mekhi will pursue political science on a pre-law track at Morehouse College.

Janii Corneh, a first-generation college student, graduated with a 3.8 GPA and led initiatives blending entrepreneurship and community service. She co-founded a school hair pantry and led DECA and the National Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow. Janii is passionate about economic empowerment and plans to expand her impact at Spelman College, where she will major in economics.

As part of our annual Scholarship Program, Delta Community awards a total of $50,000 in scholarships each year—$25,000 through our general scholarship program and $25,000 specifically for students attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). In 2025, the HBCU Scholarship will support a total of five recipients—three already awarded and two more to be announced this fall.
