Philanthropic Fund Grants Awarded in April

Delta Community Philanthropic Fund recipient Goshen House

The Delta Community Credit Union Philanthropic Fund awards $150,000 annually to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that help families strengthen their financial well-being and support the health and success of young people. Through grant funding in April, four nonprofits are expanding programs that promote stability, well-being and long-term success.

Nicholas House was awarded $7,500 to support its Financial Achievement Club, which offers financial literacy courses to families experiencing homelessness. These classes help participants build stability, manage finances and work toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage and Disability (ISDD) was awarded $7,500 to support kinship caregivers. Grant funds help provide school supplies and host Family Fun Days, easing financial burdens while strengthening family connections and emotional well-being.

Goshen Valley Ranch Foundation received $5,000 to support the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, where boys in foster care live in family-style homes with full-time house parents. Funding helps provide trauma-responsive care in a stable, supportive environment where youth can heal and grow.

Project Healthy Grandparents received $5,000 to support grandparents raising grandchildren. Funding helps provide screenings for children and connects families to needed services—keeping families together and reducing reliance on foster care.

We are proud to support these organizations and the meaningful work they do each day. Together, we’re helping build stronger, healthier communities for all.

Delta Community Expands Junior Achievement Partnership

Delta Community Junior Achievement storefront ribbon cutting

Delta Community recently celebrated the opening of its new storefront at the Junior Achievement (JA) Delta Discovery Center of Clayton County with a ribbon cutting ceremony, joined by Junior Achievement of Georgia leaders and team members.

Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that helps prepare students for success through financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship programs. Through hands-on experiences like JA BizTown and JA Finance Park, students learn how to manage money and make real-world financial decisions.

The new Clayton County Discovery Center, which opened April 1, expands access to these programs for up to 17,000 middle school students and 5,000 high school students each year. Delta Community’s sponsorship reflects its ongoing commitment to strengthening communities through education and financial empowerment.

This newest storefront builds on Delta Community’s long-standing partnership with Junior Achievement. The credit union has been a sponsor of a JA BizTown storefront at the Junior Achievement Gwinnett Discovery Center since 2015, helping thousands of students gain practical, real-world financial skills.
