Overdraft Protection Options

What types of overdraft protection are available for my Checking Account?

Your Primary Savings Account is set up as overdraft protection for your Free and Interest Checking Account(s) upon opening. Overdraft protection is not available for SpendSafe™ Checking Accounts. For the Free and Interest Checking Accounts, you may also use your Additional Savings, Money Market Accounts, a Personal Line of Credit and/or your Delta Community Visa® Credit Card as overdraft protection options. Home Equity Lines of Credit cannot be used for overdraft protection. Per Credit Union guidelines, your open Delta Community Visa Credit Card is automatically assigned as overdraft protection for your Free or Interest Checking Account unless you opt-out. Please see the disclosure supplement for each product for further information regarding overdraft protection fees.

You can apply online for any of these loans mentioned above through your Online Banking or by calling 800-544-3328

Note: Overdraft protection cannot be established for your Savings or Money Market Account withdrawals.

How the Visa Credit Card acts as overdraft protection for eligible Checking Accounts:

Funds will transfer from your Visa Credit Card to cover insufficient fund transactions on eligible Checking Accounts as long as the amount is within the available cash advance limit on the Visa loan at that time. A transfer from Visa is considered a cash advance and it is subject to daily interest and the transfer fee.

Note: Cash advance availability is up to 50% of the credit limit.

How many overdraft transfers am I allowed each month from my deposit or loan account?

You are allowed an unlimited number of transfers from your deposit and loan accounts. Please refer to the disclosure supplement for each product for further information regarding fees associated with overdraft protection.

Is there a fee to have or use overdraft protection for my Checking Account?

Overdraft transfer instances are subject to fees. Please refer to the disclosure supplement for each product for further information regarding overdraft protection fees.

If a line of credit is used for overdraft protection, you may also incur finance charges.
