Pulling credit report and Early Warning for new account

Is a credit report pulled when a new membership is applied for to join the credit union?

No credit report will be pulled when opening a personal membership unless also applying for a loan. We will run an Early Warning report to determine qualification for membership for the applicant.

When opening a business account, a credit report may be pulled in certain situations.

Can I still apply for membership if I have a freeze on my credit?

Yes. However, if you are also applying for a loan you will need to unfreeze your credit.
