Hold policy on ATM deposits

Check deposits made at ATMs owned by Delta Community Credit Union will be available on the 2nd business day after the day of your deposit. If a deposit is made at ATMs not owned by Delta Community Credit Union, your deposit will be available on the 5th business day after the day of your deposit.

These holds will apply per day for accumulative check deposits greater than $200, with the first $200 available immediately. Additional check deposits made the same day will be held regardless of the amount of the check or where the deposit is made. Exceptions to the length of the hold term may apply, see below.

Funds you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer period under the following circumstances:

  • Reasonable cause to doubt collectability, such as new or basic accounts
  • Re-deposited checks that have been returned unpaid
  • Repeated overdrafts of the account in the last six months
  • Deposit of checks totaling more than $3,000 on any one day
  • Emergency, such as failure of communication or computer equipment

Please Note: An ATM receipt will not show "Hold" or "Hold Reason". ATMs will have a placard and/or a screen message stating "Funds from deposit may not be available for immediate withdrawal please refer to your institution’s rules governing funds availability for details."
