Someone other than the payee cashing a check

If I write a check payable to an individual or merchant, can someone else come in and cash this check, even if it's endorsed over to them?

No, in this scenario we would be unable to verify the signature of the payee to whom the check was originally made payable. The only person that can cash this check is the person to whom the check is made payable.

However, the check may be presented for deposit into a Delta Community account. See further information about third party checks.
