Multiple card swipes by merchants

If a merchant swipes my card several times for a transaction, will this create multiple identical transactions on my account?

Each time a merchant swipes your card a hold may be placed on your funds. It's impossible to determine this at the time of the purchase if multiple charges will post to your account. You should review your account through Online Banking or by contacting us to determine whether a transaction posts more than once. If this occurs, contact the merchant to dispute the charges. If the merchant is unwilling or unable to assist, you can contact the credit union to dispute the charges.
