Removing deceased joint owner

If a joint member is deceased, what is needed to remove them from the account?

To request that the deceased joint owner be removed from their accounts, the primary member must provide a death certificate. You can fax your documentation to 404-677-4802 or mail to Delta Community ATTN: Deceased Accounts P.O. Box 20541 Atlanta, GA 30320-2541. If you prefer you can also visit any branch in person. Please include all account numbers that are affected.

For any IRA accounts, documentation submitted  must be originals sent by mail or presented in person.
