Deposit Money to Your Delta Community Account From Wherever You Are

Now you can securely and conveniently make deposits to your Delta Community Checking, Savings or Money Market accounts using your smartphone or tablet device with our new Mobile Check Deposit service. All you need is a phone with a camera, Delta Community’s Mobile Banking App and a valid check.

Be sure to place the check against a dark background, avoid shadows, and keep the camera at the same angle as the check. Use a well-lit area and keep hands and fingers away from check when capturing the image.

We request that members retain physical checks for a period of 30 days to ensure successful clearing of the item.

What is Mobile Deposit Capture?

Mobile Deposit Capture is a deposit service that will allow you to make deposits to your Delta Community deposit account by taking a picture of a check using a smartphone or tablet through Delta Community Credit Union's Mobile Banking App.

What are the benefits of using Mobile Deposit?

With our new Mobile Deposit service, you can securely and conveniently deposit funds to your Delta Community Checking, Savings or Money Market accounts through our Mobile Banking app using your smartphone or tablet device. With Mobile Deposit, you can make a deposit at any time. There is no need to visit a branch, drive to an ATM or mail in the check.

Is there a particular operating system that I’ll need to have on my phone to use the Delta Community Mobile Banking App?

Delta Community’s Mobile Banking App requires a minimum Operating System (OS) for best use. For Apple devices, you must have the iOS7 or greater operating system downloaded on your phone. For Android phone devices, you must have a 4.1 or greater operating system. With release v4.5, our Mobile Banking app is available on some Android tablets. To use the Mobile Deposit feature of the app, your Android tablet device must have a rear facing camera with at least 1 megapixel.

I just downloaded the most current Delta Community Mobile Banking App. How do I begin using Mobile Deposit?

To get started, simply log in to Delta Community’s Mobile Banking App using the unique Username and Password you created through Online Banking. Next, select Deposit Checks. If you haven’t already done so, accept the Terms and Conditions and then follow the prompts to make a mobile deposit.

I just registered for Mobile Deposit. How much can I deposit?

After registering for the service, you should have received an email with details of your Deposit Limits, including your Daily Deposit Limit and your Rolling 30 Day Deposit Limit. Please contact the Credit Union should you have any questions regarding the limits.

I just opened my account with Delta Community and I received the following message while using Mobile Deposit: “Mobile Deposit services are currently not enabled for your account." What does this message mean?

There is a waiting period for the use of Mobile Deposit on newly opened accounts. Please refer to the Welcome Packet you received from the Credit Union for details regarding when Mobile Deposit will be available for your account and for a list of services typically not enabled for new accounts.

I am registered for Delta Community’s Mobile Deposit service. I have made deposits in the past. However, I am currently receiving the following message while attempting to use Mobile Deposit: “Mobile Deposit services are currently not enabled for your account”. What does this message mean?

This message indicates that a recent change has occurred to your account. Please contact the Credit Union to request a review of your account. If you’re contacting the Credit Union after normal business hours, Monday through Friday, a Mobile Deposit representative will contact you within one business day with a status update.

I just made a Mobile Deposit. When should I expect the funds to be deposited into my account?

When a mobile deposit is made, funds will generally be made available by the next business day. The chart below provides information on general deposit cut-off.

I have made a mobile deposit to my Delta Community personal account and the funds have posted to my personal account. Will the funds from my deposit be placed on hold?

Possibly. Mobile deposits made to a personal account totaling $500 or less (per day) will generally be available by the end of business day. Deposits exceeding $500 will be available after two business days.

I have made a mobile deposit to my Delta Community business account and the funds have posted to my business account, will the funds from my deposit be placed on hold?

No. Mobile deposits to business accounts will be available on the same business day the deposits are posted to your account.

What should I do with my paper check after using Mobile Deposit?

We request that members retain physical checks for a period of 30 days to ensure successful clearing of item.

Are there any fees for using Mobile Deposit?

Delta Community’s Mobile Deposit service is totally free for members.

I was a frequent user of Online Deposit. Will the service still be offered by Delta Community?

No. Mobile Deposit replaces our former Online Deposit service, which will not be available in the new Online Banking system.

What are the terms and conditions for Delta Community’s Mobile Deposit service?

How should I endorse checks submitted through Mobile Deposit?

Checks should contain endorsement of all payees listed on the check. In addition, Delta Community Credit Union requests the endorsement “For Mobile Deposit” be placed on the back of each item.

Is it possible to check the status and view the history of Mobile Deposit transactions?

With release v4.5, an account history of 180 days is available for both Android and Apple phones. The history displays real time check statuses for deposits that are Pending (awaiting approval), Accepted (approved for deposit), and Rejected (not approved). When checks are Rejected, the reason the item is rejected should also appear. The history will also allow you to view front and back images of the check if the deposit is in a Pending or Accepted status. If the deposit is rejected, the image is no longer available for viewing.

What updates are included with the v4.5 Delta Community Mobile Banking App update?

The release of v4.5 includes improved image quality for the Mobile Deposit feature of the app. A new optional flash feature is also included. The flash feature is an icon that will default to an off mode, but can be turned on when needed. Another feature of the update includes increased capture space that allows for larger checks to be captured more easily. Lastly, messaging will be available to members to inform them if they are not connected to the internet and/or if the app is currently down.
