Delta Community offers a free Bonus Reward Points Program for our Visa® Credit Cardholders that allows you to earn more Reward Points (and rewards) faster!

What is Delta Community’s Bonus Reward Points Program?

It’s a way for members to earn even more Reward Points. Each quarter, you can sign up to earn 2x or 3x Reward Points in select categories, such as electronics, health clubs and grocery stores up to 3,000 points each quarter. And, this is in addition to the 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases in non-select categories.

What do I have to do to be a part of the Bonus Reward Points Program?

If you already have a Delta Community Visa Credit Card, simply log in to Online Banking and select Reward Points under the Additional Services tab. On the Reward Points website, click on the rotating banner for Bonus Reward Points and follow the prompts to activate your offer.

If you don’t already have a Delta Community Visa Credit Card, log in to Online Banking and select Apply for a Loan or Credit Card in the Loans tab. Once your new card arrives, log in to the Reward Points website through Online Banking and follow the instructions above.

Why do I need to activate each quarter?

By activating each quarter, you’ll be aware of which categories are active and when so you will always know how you can earn 2x or 3x points.

When do I need to activate each quarter?

The earliest you can activate for each quarter is 14 days prior to the beginning of the new quarter, and you can activate up until the last day of the promotion time period. However, you only earn Bonus Reward Points for special category purchases you make after your enrollment. For example, if you enroll for Q4 on December 29, you can only earn points for three days.

What is the maximum number of points I can earn each quarter through the Bonus Reward Points program?

The maximum points you can earn each quarter through this promotion is 3,000. You will continue to earn 1 point for every dollar spent for eligible purchases beyond that. You are only eligible to participate in one Reward Points promotion at a time.

I bought something from a retailer that I thought would qualify for Bonus Reward Points, but it didn’t. What might be some of the reasons why?

A Merchant Category Code (MCC) is a number assigned to a business by credit card companies when the business first starts accepting credit cards for payment. The MCC is used to classify the business by the type of goods or services it provides.

We use these codes to group categories and strive to include all relevant codes for each category; however, not all merchants have all merchant codes in what may seem to be a relevant category. For example, if you purchase groceries through Amazon, those purchases may not come through as groceries since Amazon’s primary business isn’t selling groceries.

Merchants self-select the category in which they would like their transaction items to be listed. Please note that some merchants may be owned by other companies and transactions may not be counted in the category you expect.

Additionally, when using some digital wallet services (such as Google Wallet) at a grocery store, these may be listed as the merchant rather than the store itself.

Delta Community reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify for the Program.

If I activate my quarterly offers, do I still earn my regular points (1 point for each $1 spent) on non-bonus category items?

Yes. The Bonus Reward Points Program is in addition to the normal 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases in non-select categories.

I am a contributor to someone else’s Point Bank. Can we both earn up to 3,000 points each quarter?

No, the combined points earned can total 3,000.

I purchased an item on the last day of the quarter but I didn’t earn my 2x/3x points. Why?

In this instance, it’s likely that the merchant did not submit charges to your card on that day. For example, if you purchased the item online and the merchant didn’t charge your card until the ship date and the ship date is five days out, your purchase would not qualify. Your purchases must post by the last day of the promotional quarter to qualify.

What types of purchases do not qualify for the bonus categories?

Balance Transfers, returned items, interest charges, fees and cash advances do not qualify as purchases for this Program.

What if I return my purchase? Will I still earn my bonus points?

No. As with regular Reward Points earnings, returned items do not qualify for Bonus Reward Points.

When will I see my Bonus Reward Points in my Point Bank?

You should see them within 6 – 8 weeks after your purchase.
