Navigating the Financial and Legal Role of Caregiving (In-Person Workshop October 23)

Are you a new caregiver helping a loved one navigate their long-term care needs? Or planning for your own future caregiving needs? The role of caregiving can be demanding emotionally, physically and financially. In this hands-on workshop we will embark on a journey of self-discovery to uncover care preferences for yourself or a loved one and identify who to include in the conversation.

You will walk away from this 60-minute presentation with a detailed action plan aimed at helping you make the most of your financial and legal resources. Together we will cover:

1. Taking Inventory: Understand what you have, where you have it and where to find additional support.

2. Review Documents: Learn about common mistakes that might put you or your loved one’s assets in jeopardy.

3. Streamline and Monitor: Establish systems to ensure your financial and legal privacy is protected.

4. Form Your Trusted Team: Ensure you have the documentation in place to grant the right people the appropriate access to your financial or legal life if, and when needed.

This workshop will be facilitated by a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. When possible, we encourage both the caregiver and the loved one exploring future caregiving needs to attend.

This workshop will take place at our Virginia Avenue Branch.
