Metro-Atlanta nonprofit bridging digital divide receives $4,000 from Delta Community

Marietta Daily Journal

A local nonprofit focused on helping close the digital divide among families in metro Atlanta received a significant award from Delta Community Credit Union for the fourth consecutive year.

Delta Community awarded $4,000 to Inspiredu, which provides families in underserved communities with computers, laptops and digital devices, as well as technology training.

A check presentation was held on Aug. 26 at Inspiredu’s headquarters and warehouse, during a back-to-school fundraising event held by the organization. The grant helped support the organization’s weekend fundraiser, and will also go towards its annual gala in September, as well as its overall mission to provide families access to digital technology and the skills to use it.

The financial support was made possible through Delta Community’s Sponsorship Program, which provides funding to support events and fundraisers in the communities where its branches are located. With the latest grant, Delta Community has awarded Inspiredu with more than $12,000 since it began supporting the organization and its mission in 2020.
