New Delta Community Credit Union Coming to Locust Grove

Henry Herald

Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union with more than $8.6 billion in assets, has announced plans to open a new branch in Locust Grove by early 2025. Delta Community’s 30th branch in metro Atlanta, and fourth in Henry County, will be built at 3300 Highway 42 South at the corner of Market Place Boulevard and Highway 42.

The 5,000-square-foot, full-service branch will be situated within a 5-mile radius of nearly 8,000 current members who reside in the area, as well as within close proximity to the Tanger Outlet Mall and many retail shops and restaurants.

“We are excited to announce this location as Locust Grove and the surrounding areas have experienced tremendous growth over the past several years,” said Hank Halter, Delta Community’s CEO. “Our new branch will enable us to add value to the local marketplace by better serving existing members and offering access to consumers who have been challenged to join a credit union in the past.”

The Locust Grove branch will be staffed by a team of 10 full-time branch employees and have space for residential lending or financial planning professionals. It will feature two drive-thru lanes and two 24-hour ATMs that also function as interactive teller machines (ITMs).

Delta Community Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with a mission of providing better service and value on the products consumers use to manage household expenses and save for the future. Founded in 1940, Delta Community is Georgia’s largest credit union with more than 490,000 members, 29 metro Atlanta branches and three out-of-state branch locations.
