Osborne High students receive business coaching from Delta Community Credit Union

Marietta Daily Journal

Eleventh graders at Osborne High School in Marietta received business coaching from Georgia’s largest credit union on Nov. 15.

In partnership with Junior Achievement, Cobb-based Delta Community Credit Union educated students through 3DE, a business-focused high school program designed to engage teens by exposing them to real-world business scenarios.

Students enrolled in the 3DE program form groups, and each group is tasked with conceptualizing a unique and marketable idea, creating a business plan, leading to an eventual one-day launch of their enterprise in the spring. The groups met individually with Delta Community representatives, who advised them on business concepts utilized by the credit union, including marketing, budgeting and product differentiation.

Officials with the 3DE program say interacting and learning from business professionals is valuable to student education and success. The 3DE program has been in Osborne High School for six years. Delta Community has been a sponsor company for four years.
