Delta Community’s Reina Jones Honored with President’s Lifetime Achievement Award

National Award Recognizes Individuals for Exemplary Volunteer Service Efforts

ATLANTA (Jan. 12, 2024)Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia’s largest credit union with more than $8.6 billion in assets, is pleased to announce that Reina Jones, assistant vice president of Community Development, has received the Joseph R. Biden Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes individuals who have positively impacted their communities and contributed at least 4,000 hours of service in their lifetime.

The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor in the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program. The selection process involves being nominated and then vetted by both former presidential award recipients and community leaders.

“I am honored and humbled to be included as an honoree for this prestigious award,” Jones said. “My parents instilled the spirit of volunteerism and giving back in me at a young age. It is my goal to continue their legacy, and that of so many other trailblazers, who serve their communities every day.”

“I want to congratulate Reina on this well-deserved and impressive recognition,” said Hank Halter, Delta Community’s CEO. “This honor reflects her personal and professional efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of metro Atlanta families. Her dedication is inspiring and embodies Delta Community’s commitment to support and strengthen our local communities.”

In her current role, Jones helps Delta Community deliver on its commitment to responsible corporate citizenship through various initiatives in metro Atlanta communities, including grant programs, scholarship awards and financial education resources. Beyond her work at the Credit Union, Jones is an active member of the community, serving on the Board of Directors with Communities in Schools of Atlanta. She is a past president and at-large board member with the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta, and is actively involved in Out of Hand Theater, Veritas and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
