Delta Community Announces Relocation, Expansion of Canton Branch
Larger location will allow for additional services benefiting members in Cherokee County
ATLANTA (Feb. 25, 2026) – Delta Community Credit Union is pleased to announce plans to relocate its branch in the greater Canton, Georgia area to a larger retail storefront in early 2027. The credit union will move the branch to the Hickory Flat Marketplace shopping center, which is being developed at 6475 Hickory Flat Highway and a quarter mile away from its present address.
The new Canton branch will be 4,200 square feet, more than eight times the size of its current space inside the Kroger at 6766 Hickory Flat Highway. It will be staffed by an eight-employee team, have ample parking for members and accommodate two ATMs that include “Live Teller” functionality.
Delta Community, Georgia’s largest credit union, has approximately 5,000 members living within a 7-mile radius of its future branch and more than 13,000 members in Cherokee County, where it operates a second branch in Woodstock.
“We opened our Canton branch in 2008 as part of our commitment to both serve and support Cherokee County residents,” said Hank Halter, Delta Community’s CEO. “I look forward to relocating it to a more accessible and spacious branch. The new location will enable us to provide more value to the members who have relied on us for years and more easily welcome new families and businesses to the credit union.”
The existing Canton branch will continue to serve members at its current site until the new location is ready. The move will be seamless with no disruption in operations.
