Family Support Services recently received a $5,000 grant from Delta Community Credit Union in support of FSC's Feeding the Hungry initiative, which provides nutritious meals to hundreds of people in Henry County.
“We know good nutrition is key to the stability and success of children and families,” said FSC Managing Director Melvin Stringer. “This grant will help Family Support Services provide breakfast and lunch for 700 children, and meals for 40 families every day, so they are better equipped to concentrate on other areas of their health and financial wellness during this challenging time.”
The grant was awarded from Delta Community's Special Community Fund, which the credit union launched to address local communities' needs related to the current public health crisis.
