Don’t Get Spoofed by a Fake Call That’s Not from Delta Community

by Delta Community

Recently Delta Community has learned of members receiving fraudulent phone calls from individuals claiming to be from the Credit Union. When this happens, the phone number the scammers are calling from is “spoofed,” meaning it might appear to be a legitimate Delta Community contact number but is fake. The caller tells the member that there has been a specific, fraudulent charge on the account of the member and asks the member to confirm his or her identity. Please remember that Delta Community will never call, text, or email you to ask for your checking, savings or investment account, ATM, debit or credit card password, or your telephone access (IVR) PIN.

by Delta Community

Apple, Inc., disclosed in the last few days that a serious security issue has been identified in the operating systems for its iPhones, iPads and other Apple devices, including laptop computers. The vulnerability allows hackers to potentially take full control of the device (and all the information on it), and there is evidence that the security issue is already being actively exploited by hackers. Apple has recently released operating system updates for its devices to address the problem.

Beware of Fake Delta Community Checks Circulating

by Delta Community

Be careful and do not become a victim of check fraud. Recently, Delta Community Credit Union has identified and stopped several fraudulent Delta Community Official Checks and cashier’s checks; these were counterfeit checks that were circulating in several states. You should take time to verify any Credit Union check that you receive before trying to use that check; attempting to deposit or otherwise use a fraudulent check could result in a personal financial loss.
