On March 8, 1940, eight Delta Air Lines employees with just $45 in capital founded the Delta Employees Credit Union. They chose to operate as a not-for-profit cooperative and wanted to help their peers achieve financial success.
By following their example, we have become Georgia’s largest credit union and still embrace their philosophy by sharing our earnings with members instead of outside investors and offering better rates, lower fees, conveniently located branches, online and mobile services and high capital reserves.
Like a bank, Delta Community is federally insured and, even with the stability associated with being one of the largest financial institutions based in Georgia, members love the personal service, convenience and products we offer, such as Free Checking, Online Bill Pay, Home Loans, Auto Loans, Commercial Loans and Retirement and Investment products and services.
It's not just a coincidence that we put the word “community” in our name. Supporting the metro Atlanta community is extremely important to us. We are actively involved with local chambers of commerce, schools and charitable organizations to this end and embrace the opportunity to give back to the communities where we live, work and serve.

We support Children’s Miracle Network through our relationship with Credit Unions for Kids and the schools and teachers in our community through our Partners in Education program. In addition, the Delta Community Credit Union Philanthropic Fund enables us to support causes that assist with the physical and financial education of young people and families.
